Borimsa, the temple that established Seon (Zen) Buddhism in Korea, was established during the United Silla period as was tea. Borimsa also reached its height at the same time as tea, during the Goryeo Dynasty - the “Tea Dynasty”. Just like tea, Borimsa had its tragedies but has survived and is flourishing today. It is the perfect temple to illustrate the amazing parallel between tea and temple - really between Buddhism and tea. More importantly, Borimsa produces delicious hand picked, hand produced, organically grown wild bush teas. We will be posting more on Borimsa but for now, enjoy their teas.
